#1 Honesty

“Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.”

Proverbs 12:22

Honesty is foundational to building trust and maintaining integrity. Teach your children that being truthful honors God and strengthens relationships.

Share examples of how honesty can bring peace, even in difficult situations.

#2 Kindness

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Ephesians 4:32

Kindness reflects the love of Christ. Encourage your children to show compassion to others, even when it’s not easy. Role-play scenarios to help them practice kindness in real-life situations.

This is a verse that we often refer to when dealing with sibling squabbles. It is not human nature to repay with kindness when we’re being treated unfairly.
