Understanding and learning about music has such amazing benefits for children.
As homeschool parents, we can sometimes feel ill-equipped to cover all subjects.
Even as someone who is fairly proficient in music I find myself busy with so many other aspects that it was a welcome relief to find that there is a wonderful online option for introducing my little ones to music.
If you can relate in any way then this Clap for Classics review is work reading.
In this article I’ll share with you what makes Clap for Classics stand out, how user-friendly it is, and exactly what you can expect from them.

Clap for Classics Review
How wonderful it is that we live in a time where we can access the skills and expertise of others even if they’re not local to us!
As someone who lives in a small town and also doesn’t have the energy to be carting my kids to lessons everywhere, finding online learning solutions is a wonderful answer to my needs.
Perhaps you feel the same way? In order to avoid homeschool mom burnout, it is so vital that we give ourselves a break where we can.
In this case, taking a break doesn’t mean taking anything away from your kids.
Clap for Classics is great!
What They Offer
Clap for Classics offers online music classes for children aged 0-7 years old. Kathryn and Elizabeth are sisters, moms, and both classically-trained musicians.
They offer several different courses for you to choose from which include both one-off courses as well as a monthly subscription.
They also offer the option of buying the courses as a gift for someone else, so this might be the perfect thing to suggest to grandparents or other family members if they’re looking for gift ideas.
Here are the four course options available:
- Monthly Music Subscription Course
- Peter and The Wolf Course Bundle
- Carnival of The Animals Course Bundle
- Nursery Time Baby Time Course
The Nursery Time Baby Time course is specifically aimed at children 0-2 years of age.
How it Works

When you purchase from Clap for Classics, you’re given you’re own login where you can access the course or courses that you’ve purchased.
The courses are very clearly set up so that you can find the parents instructions as well as the learning videos.
The lessons are delivered via video, but there are additional suggestions for enhancing the lessons.
They include printables as well but everything most things are optional and it is very flexible.
Ease of Use

I think that as parents of little ones none of us really have the time or mental energy to be having to do elaborate lessons with out kids.
We need things to be simple and to the point as well as delivering on what they promise.
Clap for Classics is perfect for this as the way in which they’ve designed the course interface makes it very simple to use with your kiddos.
The instructions and extra printables are easy to find so you’re not left scrambling to get things together.
I think what I personally really appreciate as a busy mom of 3 is that I can set it up and walk away. I don’t actually have to be actively engaged in the lesson myself if I don’t want to.
While there are suggestions of things to add to enhance the lessons, I didn’t find that I had to add them if I didn’t want to, and honestly, they are super helpful in making suggestions for things that you might already have around your home.
The videos are short so that if you have kiddos who struggle to pay attention even they will find these engaging.
Age Range

My children are 2, 4, and 6 years old and all three of them have thoroughly enjoyed what Clap for Classics has to offer.
They could totally do it on their own, but I’ve found that they love to do it together as a group activity and it gives me a few minutes to sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy watching them learn together.
Cost
Clap for Classics offers their courses from $27-$75 depending on which course you choose.
Their monthly music subscription is $27 per month or $270 annually.
For the convenience and quality of teaching, I personally believe that their prices are very fair.
Our Experience

As my children are so young I really like to keep learning gentle and fun. Clap for Classics has fitted into this philosophy perfectly.
My children have had fun and made special memories together as they’ve gone through the classes.
Plus, this is a great way to do some fun school together with your child without having the burden of putting together the teaching materials yourself.
Kathryn and Elizabeth are both sweet and engaging in the videos. They capture the attention of my children and really encourage a love of music.
My children also loved that their were children in the videos themselves.
Final Thoughts
I don’t have anything negative to say about Clap for Classics. What they promise is what they deliver and it has been a lovely enriching activity for my children to do together.
As a homeschool mom, I know that my children take a much more vested interest in a topic when the teacher is enthused about it.
Clap for Classics offers that and is a beautifully wholesome online music course that I recommend homeschool moms of littles check out.
