We didn’t have any big deal things on in April. It was a pretty status quo kind of month. As has been the case for the last several months, Annie changed and grew significantly. She is quite the little girl now.
Toddler Routine
No change.
- 7 DWT
- 7:30/8 Breakfast
- 9-10:15 Independent Playtime
- 10:30 Snack
- 11:30 Lunch
- 12-3 Nap
- 3 Snack
- 5/5:30 Dinner
- 6:30/7 Bed
Sleep
There were no massive changes in sleep. However, her big brother did move into her room, so they are now sharing. The first couple of nights she took longer to settle, but otherwise, things have been fairly uneventful.
Most naps went well. There was the odd one where she woke early and didn’t resettle, but it wasn’t the norm.
Eating
Annie started playing with her food this month. I’m okay with her doing this a bit, but not to the extreme.
A couple of times it meant she ate very little because she was preoccupied. Otherwise, eating is the same. She continues to have a healthy appetite and is generally happy to eat most things.

Milestones
Babble, babble, babble…all day long. Annie loves to talk. She especially loves to talk on the phone. When we video call with anyone she gets very excited. Her words are becoming clearer and she is adding to her vocabulary almost daily.
Play
Dolls are Annie’s favourite toys at the moment. Most times of the day you’ll find her walking around with a doll quietly shushing it and giving it kisses.
I find it fascinating because we haven’t necessarily encouraged this. She just naturally is nurturing and shows an interest in babies. It is very sweet to watch.
Teething
Two molars are out, but the other two are still making their way through. We will get there eventually!
